Since the 1st of April 2016 the surgery no longer offers ear syringing as a service.

This is due to the possible side effects which can be common and traumatic for the individual.
These include:

Perforation of the Ear Drum

Otitis Externa (ear infection)

Damage to external canal





Alternative treatment of using Sodium Bicarbonate Ear Drops twice daily for at least 2 weeks is now the suggested 1st line treatment for impacted wax.

If you still experience problems after following this advice we will happily review your ears and advise the correct treatment.
