Important: Change to Practice Dispensing Services
Due to changes in our NHS contract, the practice will no longer be able to dispense medication. This means that from 6pm on 10 April 2026, patients who previously received their medicines directly from the practice will now need to use a community pharmacy or distance‑selling (online) pharmacy.
What you need to do
- Choose a pharmacy – either a local pharmacy or an online one that delivers.
- Nominate your chosen pharmacy – the pharmacy can set this up for you.
- Order your next prescription slightly earlier to ensure a smooth transition.
Your care will not change
- Your GP will continue to prescribe your medicines.
- Medication reviews, monitoring and appointments remain unchanged.
- Only the dispensing of medicines is transferring to community pharmacies.
Choosing a pharmacy
You can find local pharmacies using:
NHS Find a Pharmacy: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy
Distance‑selling pharmacies offer home delivery and communicate online or by phone.
